Student profile
Program Description
Welcome to the exciting stage of entering the workforce. Artists are a necessary asset to a studio. A good portfolio/demo reel will get you an interview, however it will not guarantee you the job.
Studio recruiters need to know that artists who are applying to their studios have an understanding of the application their process; including cover letters, resumes, demo reel presentation and portfolio breakdowns.
Getting the job will depend on how you conduct yourself during the interview. In this Job Development and Business for Artists online course you will learn the proper presentation skills and the business etiquette needed to succeed in Animation and Visual Effects studios.
Fully Accredited
This program is accredited by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB), designated under the British Columbia Education Quality Assurance (BCEQA), the Ministry of Advanced Education and listed under the Canadian Information Center for International Credentials (CICIC).
Become the awesome artist you are meant to be.
What does accreditation mean?
Accreditation is meant to protect students, schools, and employers. It ensures that a school is educating its students and meeting quality standards. If you choose a school that isn’t accredited, it may be difficult to use your academic credentials. Few employers will take your education seriously. Additionally, you may not be able to transfer your credit hours or degree to an accredited school.
If you are learning for personal enjoyment, accreditation may not be important to you. However, if you want to use your academic credential in the workplace or plan on furthering your education at a later date, accreditation is essential.
Admission Requirements
Artists must be post-secondary graduates with a completed portfolio / demo reel and be ready to enter the workforce.
